Come to meet and hear our panel of leaders in Human Resources who have addressed these questions and more. At this Speed Workshop, HR representatives of the life science industry in San Diego will help address the following questions:
Life scientists are welcome to meet and hear the panel of speakers: Tracy Glasson, Halozyme Therapeutics Tracy Glasson is the Recruiting Manager for Halozyme Therapeutics, a biopharmaceutical company developing and commercializing products targeting the extracellular matrix for the endocrinology, oncology, dermatology, and drug delivery markets. Tracy started her career as a headhunter 15 years ago, specializing in Clinical Development and Executive-level recruitment for biopharma companies nationwide. In 2003, she took her expertise in-house, helping companies like INC Research, Invitrogen, Pfizer and Biogen Idec fulfill their recruiting needs. Since joining Halozyme in 2008, Tracy’s efforts resulted in a 61% increase in headcount, propelling Halo from 87 to 140 people in all aspects of the drug development continuum from Discovery Research to Commercial. Tracy received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Toni Wayne, Prometheus Laboratories Toni Wayne joined Prometheus Laboratories, a specialty pharmaceutical and diagnostics company, as Vice President of Human Resources in 2004. Prior to Prometheus, she held the position of Vice President Human Resources for Baxter Healthcare’s BioScience division, where she directed Human Resources for the division’s North American operations, and, ultimately, for the division’s global Research and Development and Commercial operations. Her 7 year tenure with Baxter offered her the opportunity to be involved at multiple levels in the acquisition and integration of several businesses, both the domestically and globally. Toni also held the position of Vice President for Elan’s Biopharmaceutical division in 2002. She started her career in biotech with Hybritech Incorporated, San Diego’s first biotechnology company, which was acquired by Eli Lilly in 1986. There she held varying positions of management responsibility in Human Resources, Manufacturing, Quality and Project Management. Prior to her 17 years with Hybritech she worked as a Research Associate with both Scripps Clinic and UCSD.
