Howard Asher is uniquely qualified to share his perspective on forthcoming changes in health care. He began his career in life sciences with such companies as Pfizer, Baxter and Bayer. Howard in 1978 founded the first contract research organization (CRO) Advanced Bioresearch Associates (ABA). ABA grew to be the premier Life Sciences FDA Regulatory Affairs firm; over its 20 years it has secured regulatory approval for hundreds of medical products, including drugs, biotherapeutics, medical devices and in vitro diagnostics.

Howard has served as President & CEO of BioQ, Group Director of Global Life and Health Sciences for Sun Microsystems, and founder of the LSIT Global Institute. He has participated on Boards for BIOCOM, Quorex Pharmaceuticals, Stryker, Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, and many others. Howard also teaches at the UCSD School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Rady School of Management at U.C. San Diego and UCI, Health Care Executive – MBA course.
